The concert calendar is going to get shorter
Well, it looks like I got a job in Philadelphia so I will be moving soon. That means no updates to the site for a while as I worry about settling in to my new home. I'm sure I will get back to taking photos soon enough.
This also means that I'm going to shrink the concert calendar a bit. Right now it goes from Richmond to Philly. The thing is, I never did make it down to Richmond and I'm definitely not going to do that now. Richmond and the South-of-DC sections are definitely going away. My apologies to anyone in Richmond who finds the calendar useful but it just isn't worth it to me to keep maintaining it.
Actually, I am seriously thinking about shrinking the calendar even more. Facebook's new privacy policies make it hard for me to pull events from the event pages of venues like Century (Philly) or Tropicalia (DC). Unfortunately many venues don't have event calendars, they just have a link to their Facebook page. Well, I can't add those events to the calendar in an automated way anymore. That's not a massive problem since only about 20% of the events on this site come from Facebook but some venues only put their show list there and collecting all of it by hand is a pain. We'll see how this plays out.
